Our motive is to share the timeless beauty of Pata Chitra with the rest of the world. Rooted in Odisha and Bengal’s prime cultural heritage, our handcrafted artworks and painted merchandise relay mythical stories, folklore, and traditional tales. We work closely with artisans who have been linked to Pata Chitra for generations.
We aim to preserve ancient craft while presenting it to global clients. Going beyond scrolls; we want to portray Pata-art on numerous visages. Each piece we create is a testament to intricate details, a rich color palette, and soulful storytelling, crafted to carry forward the legacy of Pata Chitra.
Abriella Paintings began as a dream envisioned almost 15 years ago by Aayesha Khalid, Director of the brand. The dream was to build something meaningful around art, heritage, and creativity.
For years, the idea stayed close to her heart, waiting for the right time. Between household responsibilities, family duties, and everyday commitments, the dream could not immediately take shape.
It was during the COVID period in 2020, when life slowed down, and we finally had the time to reflect, create, and act, that this long-held vision began to turn into reality.
What started as an idea from the heart slowly became Abriella Paintings: a brand built on passion, patience, and the desire to bring timeless Indian art and heritage into modern homes.
Abriella Paintings began with a simple love for Indian art: the kind passed down through generations, painted in prayer, and nearly forgotten in today’s world.
What started as a passion to preserve these traditions has grown into a mission to bring them into modern homes, not just as décor, but as stories worth collecting. We work closely with artisans to keep these art forms alive, and our vision is to make Abriella a global name in art-inspired living, where every piece feels personal, soulful, and timeless.
